Our first Viognier comes from Cougar Hills Vineyard, which is on the Oregon side of the Walla Walla Valley AVA. The Viognier plants are clone 01, self-rooted, and they were planted in 1999. The soil type is Ritzville loam, mixed with layers of gravel and river rock. Elevations at the vineyard range from 800 feet at the base to 845 feet at the top of the hill.

Composition - 100% Viognier
Winemaking – This Viognier was fermented in stainless steel tanks at 50-51 degrees. The cool temperature allows the fermentation to progress slowly (taking several weeks to finish). During this time the lees are stirred regularly to supplement mouthfeel. The wine was clarified using bentonite and then filtered with pad filters prior to bottling in April 2024.
